Live Painting for Domestic Violence
Painting for Domestic Violence
I am proud to announce I will be live painting for International Women’s day this year (March 8th) in Kokomo, Indiana at the SHERO 5k to raise awareness for victims of domestic violence through the Howard County FSA Domestic Violence Shelter.
Here is how the interactive live painting will work:
As women cross the finish line, they will be handed a cup of paint to toss on the canvas. All of these contributions collectively will make a great backdrop for the next phase of this interactive art piece.
Here is the image I have designed for the paint-by-number portion. Once the runners have created the background—event attendees will be invited to help paint this image over top!
When the piece is finished, it will be auctioned at the event to help raise money for the FSA Domestic Violence Shelter. I will have prints available online and at the event as well and a portion of those print sales will also be donated to the shelter!
It’s an honor to be celebrating women and survivors through color at this amazing event!
If you or someone you know needs helps identifying abuse, please use or share the domestic violence website:
